Reducing Gender Disparity in Higher Education
Home
The representation of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) has usually been lower compared to that of men.
It was identified that five stages need to be considered in reducing gender disparity in STEM: Attraction, Recruitment, Enrolment, Retention, and Employment. The stage of attraction is addressed through the child project: Reducing gender disparity in STEM from kindergarten to Professional life, funded by the Wellcome Trust through the Ignite programme at Cardiff University.
