The Sono-breech study is a multi-centre study taking place in at least 13 hospitals across the UK, aiming to determine the diagnostic accuracy of handheld ultrasound at 36-weeks of gestation to determine fetal presentation.

Julia Townson is a co-applicant for Sono-breech, and provides senior responsibility for the delivery of the study within the Centre for Trials Research, Cardiff University. She is a Principal Research Fellow and as a clinical trials methodologist, works across a range of clinical areas, to improve health and well-being, and to reduce health inequalities.
