autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p id=\"_rMgfyVoKyT4kvj\" dir=\"ltr\">The annual <strong>UK-Ireland Planning Research Conference<\/strong> (PRC) will take place in <strong>Cardiff from 7\u20139 September 2026<\/strong>, hosted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cardiff.ac.uk\/geography-planning\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">School of Geography and Planning at Cardiff University<\/a> as it celebrates <strong>60 years<\/strong> of planning education.<\/p>\n<p id=\"_h62FGmshfqM22u\" dir=\"ltr\">This milestone offers a unique opportunity to reflect on six decades of shaping planning scholarship and practice, while looking ahead to the future of planning across the UK, Ireland, and beyond.<\/p>\n<p id=\"_bRdGxXs6kq6eWc\" dir=\"ltr\">PRC brings together planning scholars and practitioners from across the UK, Ireland, and internationally to explore a wide spectrum of issues affecting urban and rural areas.<\/p>\n<p id=\"_X2J1WcSVqXbsL2\" dir=\"ltr\">The conference includes several strands alongside the main programme:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"_L9591InkCcH8fZ\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<li id=\"_7L6kLu7BrtyRi1\" dir=\"ltr\">the annual <strong>Planning Schools Forum (PSF)<\/strong> meeting<\/li>\n<li id=\"_UQXorQsV5Szj85\" dir=\"ltr\">a dedicated <strong>PhD workshop<\/strong><\/li>\n<li id=\"_J31JJuwYuz3DWl\" dir=\"ltr\">the <strong>Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Awards for Research Excellence<\/strong><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">organised <strong>study tours<\/strong> of the city.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"_CED200JvVUqYqA\" dir=\"ltr\">Recent hosts include <strong>Ulster University (2025)<\/strong>, <strong>University of Reading (2024)<\/strong>, <strong>University of Glasgow (2023)<\/strong>, and <strong>University of Manchester (2022)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p id=\"_S3YdqUf9ECKDZ7\" dir=\"ltr\">Join us in Cardiff to celebrate <strong>60 years of planning education at Cardiff University<\/strong> and contribute to shaping the next chapter in planning research and practice.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Key dates<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Call for Abstracts opens <\/strong>&#8211;
