DECIDE - Decoding Cities for Informed Decision Making
DECIDE is on the 4th IBPSA-Scotland uSIM Conference.
20 November 2024DECIDE will participate in the upcoming IBPSA-Scotland Conference, uSIM2024 – Shaping Net Zero Policies with Building Simulation, which will be held on November 25, 2024, at the University of Edinburgh.
Our paper presentation is scheduled for Session 2B: Multi-Domain Simulation for Sustainable Cities & Communities | 12:00 – 13:00 | hosted by Dr. Nick Kelly. For more details on the sessions, please refer to the full conference programme.
The paper will explore methodologies for estimating and simulating the movement of e-mobilities (e-bikes and e-scooters), and their spatial logics within urban built environments. It aims to enhance modelling approaches for decision-support and to provide actionable information to policies that encourage the adoption of these transport modes – important toward achieving net-zero transitions in cities. This research is part of a case study on the City of Bristol conducted by DECIDE in collaboration with the University of Bristol’s Jean Golding Institute and the School of Civil, Aerospace, and Design Engineering.
In addition to that, Prof. Clarice Bleil de Souza, DECIDE project Supervisor, will deliver the Conference Closing Keynote Speech on Modelling & Assessing Decision-Making in Smart Energy Transition Buildings.
